3 Tricks To Enhance Your Coffee At Home
Updated: Mar 11, 2019

I absolutely love lattes! The creamy texture is just so luxurious and the rich espresso just a nutty roasted flavor. Basically the world just makes sense every time you take a sip. Unfortunately it's really hard to make a coffee like a latte without dropping $500 on an espresso machine.
However, I do have some tricks up my sleeve that can take your brewed coffee to the next level and more like an espresso-ish drink!

1. Reduce the amount of water

When you make regular brewed coffee, try around half the amount of water you would typically use. So if you normally put 6 cups of water try maybe 3 to 4 cups of water instead.
This is gonna make your coffee extra intense in flavor so you won't need as much in your cup.
I fill my cup halfway with the coffee and fill the rest with milk. This way you're still getting a strong coffee flavor but it won't be as watery!
2. Drink your coffee ASAP
Heat can destroy coffee if it sits too long on the burner. I would try to drink it within a hour of making it to get the best taste. After 2 hours, it will become stale and more bitter.

3. Use filtered water
Whatever you put into your coffee can greatly change the taste of it. Oddly enough, I noticed this when I was cooking rice without using filtered water and it just tasted a little funny. The same thing goes with coffee.
