Ways To Improve Productivity

1. Keep a Positive Attitude 

I know this one seems kind of obvious but it makes such a difference when you need to push through things. Read an inspirational book or listen to some awesome music to help lift your spirits. If you look at things with a good attitude, it will help you kick some butt.




2. Just Start

People tend to wait for the perfect time to start and the perfect conditions.  Guess what? There is no perfect time. Just go ahead and jump in. Don't procrastinate like me!




3. Get Organized

Get a daily planner! It does wonders. You will be amazed how easy it is to get things done when it's all laid out in front of you.


Bonus: you'll remember things better and eliminate stress because you'll have all of your important dates and events all in one place.




4. Set Goals

Prioritize your tasks and break them down into smaller tasks.  Assign deadlines for each one.




5. Schedule Smart

Don't over commit yourself. If you put too much on your plate, it could have the opposite effect and make it harder to follow through with tasks. You still want to push yourself but just don't over do it.




6. Take Short Breaks

You can burn yourself out if you're trying to overcompensate for lost time. For every 25 minutes, take a 5 minute break.




7. Create Checklists

Make a To-Do List and keep it up to date and check it everyday before you work.




8. Delegate

Ask someone for help with an assignment. You'd be surprised how often people like helping other people. Get groceries with a friend so that way you can still get your food but also catch up at the same time.




9. Improve Skills

There is always room for improvement. Take some evening classes or check out a seminar.




10. Mirror a Successful Company or Person

Learn from the best and duplicate them. People who succeed have a strategy that works and if you follow that strategy, you can reap the same rewards.




11. Sleep

Get plenty of rest. Lots of it. Get as much sleep as you can. I know it's hard to balance a social life and maintain a job but it's what makes the difference between an average day to an amazing day!




12. Reward yourself

When you accomplish big goals, treat yo self! That leather jacket looks like it's on sale with your name on it!
