Ways To Spark Creativity!
Updated: Mar 11, 2019
Let's get those juices flowing.

So when we get into a routine, it's hard to get creative. Routines are not a bad thing. However, if you want to shake things up, change is your friend!
"Creativity is Intelligence Having Fun" -Albert Einstein
1. Switch up where you study
I'm giving you permission right now to go to a fun coffee shop and study! This is a great way to get out of the house and treat yourself. This will also give you the motivation you need and make that new art project more fun.

2. Play some video games
When we're really stressed and we have a million things on our minds, coming up with new ideas can be hard. This one is great because you're not focusing on anything else but the game! You're relaxed and immersed into another reality.

3. Watch Some Kids Movies
Ever notice how great you feel after you watch one? There's something magical about being transported back to your childhood because it lets you see things in a more positive way. There's a lot of great ones for adults. Go watch "How to Train Your Dragon" and "The Lego Movie"!

4. Listen to Different Music
I'm so guilty of listening to the same music over and over again. Try something you've never heard of before. Another great way to find some really cool music is through video games soundtracks.

5. Go to Barnes and Noble
Whenever I'm around books, I get so many ideas. I swear every time I walk out of there, I feel so inspired! Plus, the atmosphere is so peaceful!

6. Creative Writing Prompts
I highly recommend this cute little book! It's filled with tons of funny and imaginative writing prompts that help give your brain some inspiration. For example, "Write why the giant wishes he was small."

7. Get a Onesie
Notice how you feel so cozy and life is just more fun when wearing one? Life is stressful enough as it is. So I'm gonna enjoy every moment I have left my unicorn onesie. Remember, when you have fun it invites.....creativity!!!

8. Dream Journal
Dreams in themselves are very creative and mostly random collections of our subconscious. By writing down your dreams, you can get inspiration from them and get new ideas! Plus, they can help boost your memory too!

9. Try a Different Outfit
We all have a couple items in our closet we barely touch. Now I'm going to give you a challenge right now. I want you to wear one of those pieces. For example, if it's a fancy skirt, try to make it less fancy or vice versa!

10. Pick Up a Hobby
Try drawing! It could turn out to be your new favorite thing to do.

11. Learn Something
It can be about anything. By learning a couple new words or a new recipe, you're introducing fresh material to your brain. Try watching a fun educational video on YouTube about "Why Loki is the Best Villain". Oh he's so dreamy! I really wanted an excuse to put him in here. FYI, I would pick him over Thor any day. I mean just look at that smile.
